The Women’s Center for Creative Work (WCCW) is excited to announce the third year of our Emergency Health Grant for Artists initiative! With funding from both an anonymous donor through the Tides Foundation and Metabolic Studio, we will provide over $80,000 in grants to individual artists to support emergency medical, mental health, and dental needs. This year we are excited to facilitate the grant with our community partners Mujeres de Maiz, Sustainable Little Tokyo, and artist and producer Cori Consuelo.
APPLY STARTING FEB. 15. DEADLINE TO APPLY IS MARCH 15, 2018, 11:59PM PST.
Artists are eligible to apply for up to $3,000. Typical grants will be between $2,000 and $3,000. In addition, each grant recipient will have an opportunity to receive three hours of consultation (case-management) with a social worker within three months of receiving the grant.
Information and grant writing assistance sessions will be held at the WCCW and in connection with community partner organizations during the open application period: -facebook.com/events/366640943808376
This granting opportunity fosters our ongoing goal of providing holistic support for artists and makers through feminist principles, including the redistribution of resources. A panel comprised of our community partner organizations and a medical professional will select grant recipients based on applicant eligibility, artistic merit, urgency of need, and the potential for the grant to be used effectively.
