Los Angeles – we’re back! The next SpeakEasy will take place at the same time, same place: Downtown Dance & Movement in downtown LA. We’ve got the musicians, the super tasty Nuclear Wines, and we’re lining up a food truck.
So come along, bring a folding chair, (you have to bring your own chair!), grab a bite and a drink and we’ll get into some music.
If you want to check out classical music, but you’re not ready to commit to a concert hall then this is the thing for you.
All of those questions you have? This is the place to ask them.
$5 — Advance Purchase
$10 — Door Purchase
$40 — VIP (includes premium seating, a folding chair, and 1 can of Nuclear wine)
VIP tickets must be booked by Wednesday, January 3.
Martin Owen, Kristin Lee, & Gilles Vonsattel
This time we’ll be joined by pianist Gilles Vonsattel, violinist Kristin Lee and French Hornist Martin Owen. We’ll ask Martin to talk about that 16 feet of coiled magnificence that it is his French horn, and perhaps ask Gilles to lead us through the Beethoven piano sonata he’ll be playing in our concerts. Oh, on that program there’s also a cool trio by György Ligeti — Stanley Kubrick stole his music for “2001”. We can talk about that; we can talk about anything! Bring your questions, we’ll start at the beginning and see where it takes us.
Remember… there’s no such thing as a stupid question. (Actually, we all know there is, and with wine being served we might hear a few of them!)
