“Dirtiest fighting ever!” – Kung Fu Express

“A triumph of Turkish cinema.” — Pete Tombs, Mondo Macabro

Before the infamous Turkish Star Wars, — there was 1975’s THE SWORD AND THE CLAW!

The American Genre Film Archive’s latest preservation is a wild ride through that same hallucinogenic netherworld, and features genre legend Cünyet Arkin in his most iconic role. Long relegated to scratchy old VHS viewings, this is Conan the Librarian meets The Three Stooges meets Dolemite — with enough lo-fi bloodshed, pop-art visuals, and lunatic dubbing to satisfy the most ravenous of cult-mondo-midnight movie connoisseurs!

See the trailer – youtube.com/watch?v=JmhAw833KY4 — then see the movie one night only, Friday January 26 at 11pm at The Frida! Brought to you by OC Weekly's Friday Night Freakouts at The Frida!

Advance tickets now available at boxoffice.printtixusa.com/fridacinema/advance?i=20887!
