In their book Art as Therapy, Alain de Botton and John Armstrong state, we can “use art to supply what is missing from life.” Nature in all its wonder is a balm for our frenetic city life. The exhibition, placed in the setting of the 26 acre Fullerton Arboretum, located on the campus of California State University Fullerton, offers a dual experience of nature. Looking at these photographs, we can place ourselves in the picture, take a deep and cleansing breath, and travel to that location for a mini-vacation of the mind. Complete your visit with a stroll through the beautiful arboretum gardens.
The Fullerton Arboretum is located at 1900 Associated Rd. Fullerton, 92831. Museum hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, noon to 4 pm. Arboretum is open daily 8 am to 4:30 pm. Fullertonarboretum.org
