The Art Deco Society of Los Angeles has nominated the Hollywood Reporter building for Historic Cultural Monument status.
Our hearing before the Cultural Heritage Commission is Thursday, August 17, 2017. We will be heard right after the lunch break at 1:00 PM.

If you worked at 6715 Sunset Boulevard while the building housed the HOLLYWOOD REPORTER or the LA WEEKLY, or know someone who does, we encourage you to come IN PERSON to speak or at least fill out a card to support making this building a registered Los Angeles landmark.
The Hollywood Reporter Building is slated for demolition. The Art Deco Society and Hollywood Heritage believe that this building has architectural and cultural significance and should be preserved.
Public support is very important.
What you can do to participate:
Share your story of important news that was reported while you worked in the building or memories of original historic features that were on the interior of the building. Who were the famous people who came to your office? Express your love of the building and the importance of these publications to you and your industry, your personal career, etc.
