Meet Jamie your Mayan Yoga Facilitator!
My engagement with the universe is an enchanting mix of destiny and and initiative. Carrying the spirits and traditions of my ancestors in my flesh, I was always interested in rediscovering the parts of my precious heritage that were hidden to my consciousness. The past always mystified and lured me to its breasts, as I developed a penchant for vintage clothing, vinyl records ranging from reggae to rock, and ancient Mexican culture. The path of the pilgrimage I took back to myself was covered with the dust of the wisdom of the elders, flying sporadically into my eyes to reveal fleeting holograms of the truest essence that was me. I studied the holistic practice of Hatha yoga for fourteen years while looking in the mirror through research to see myself in the sacred monuments, practices, and revolutions of Mexico, holding the thoughts of Pancho Villa and Frida Kahlo next to the discipline and esoteric physicality embodied by Hatha yoga. Through a alchemical confluence of my love of vintage clothing, antiquated art, yoga, and my culture, I present to you my significant and ever evolving knowledge of the lesser known but extremely life-transformative practice of Yog'Hah as passed on to me by Hunbatz Men, revered Maya elder and Solar Daykeeper and residing in Chichen Itza who has authorized me to teach this transcendent yet immanent philosophy.
