Social media is an extension of your brand whether it’s for personal use or on behalf of an organization. It can make or break a first impression. It can also lead to stellar relationships with existing audiences. Yet knowing how to shape content for a zillion platforms can be tricky.
In this workshop, we'll focus on how to brand yourself as an artist. We'll explore Instagram as a tool for exposure and talk about how Facebook, Snapchat, LinkedIn and newsletters can help cultivate your community. Ultimately, you'll walk away with a better understanding of who you are on the Internet.
This class will be informational and interactive. You'll make friends while developing a better eye for good Internet.
This class is led by Kristen Lepore, who works as a part-time social media editor at L.A. Weekly. Previously she oversaw projects at Southern California Public Radio (KPCC). In her free time, she runs a digital strategy and podcast consulting business. Clients have included We Do We and terrestrial podcasts.
