Take Only Memories is a Shoestring Adventures workshop series designed to teach students how to become skilled observers & stewards of the natural world through photography.
After a short presentation, we’ll venture into the field to practice our skills and capture the LA River!
Come spend the afternoon with us for our second Take Only Memories Workshop to learn the foundation of photography, and leave with tips, tricks and tools to preserve the natural world one photo at a time.
Who: This course is for beginners looking to learn the fundamentals of photography.
-Learn fundamentals of photography: ISO, aperture, shutter speed

-Capture the whimsical story of the LA River
-2PM: Introduction and Lecture on Photography Fundamentals
-3PM: Hands-on exercises on the LA River, group discussion and Q&A
-4PM: Networking Opportunity for 1x1 smaller group discussions

Getting There: The Frog Spot is located right off the Los Angeles River Bike path at 2825 Benedict Street, Los Angeles, CA 90039.
Parking: Since it is located directly off the Elysian Valley Bike Path there is no onsite parking or parking lot at the Frog Spot. Please Park on Riverside Drive near Newel St. It’s about a 7 minute walk down Newell to the end of the street and turn right (south) onto the LA River Bike Path and walk until you reach the Frog Spot on the right.
