This workshop offers a safe and focused space in which to learn the essentials of yoga, so that you may begin your practice on solid ground. We’ll discuss the origins and far-reaching potential of yoga, the fundamental poses, and how to practice in a class setting while honoring where you’re at, resting when you need to, and challenging yourself when appropriate. This workshop is designed for those who are new to yoga, as well as anyone who would benefit from a perspective that includes essential governing principles. Our time together will be spent in both discussion and physical practice so please come prepared with a yoga mat, yoga attire, and a notebook.
