Join us for HEART of LONG BEACH, a free community event, on Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 3-8 p.m. for an afternoon of vendors, food, live entertainment and mural tours where we celebrate the completion of the Cambodia Town Mural Project.
Walking tour maps will be available for the self-led walking tour by the Arts Council for Long Beach at the info booth and at every mural location. In addition, TOUR LBC has a mobile app available on both Android and iOS for a self led virtual tour. Starting point for the self-led walking tour will begin at 4 p.m. at Mark Twain Library (1401 E Anaheim St, Long Beach, CA 90813).
The, I <3 Cambodia Town, a free community bike tour is provided by the Arts Council for Long Beach in partnership with Asian Pacific Islander Forward Movement (APIFM).
The bike tour will give you the chance to explore the Cambodia Town Mural Project murals via bike stops include: Mark Twain Library, MAYE Center, United Cambodian Community, Buddhist Congregation (Chua Phat To), and Homeland Cultural Center.
Arrive early! The departure point is at 4pm at Mark Twain Library at APIFM's vendor booth (1401 E Anaheim St, Long Beach, CA 90813). RSVP is required! Space is limited to 20 bikes. You must bring your own bike. (Eventbrite Link above
This free bus tour is provided by the Arts Council for Long Beach in partnership with Long Beach Transit and will give you the chance to explore all eight (8) of the Cambodia Town Mural Project murals during the HEART of LONG BEACH celebration. Susan Abir of Worthy Art Walks will be your tour guide, there will be Khmer and Spanish translation available. Check-in will be at Mark Twain Library at the Long Beach Transit vendor booth. RSVP is required for writsbands to board bus! Space is limited to 20 seats.
