The Los Angeles Breakfast Club
3201 Riverside Dr, Los Angeles, California 90027
Join us to welcome Martine Colette, founder of the Wildlife Waystation, an animal sanctuary that has has rescued and rehabilitated over 77,000 animals in its 40 years. Ms. Colette began caring for exotic animals in a three bedroom house – animals given to her by people who suddenly realized an ocelot was not intended to be a house cat and so on. When the number of animals reached 50, she purchased 160 acres in the Angeles National Forest, officially incorporating the Wildlife Waystation in 1976. Ms. Colette has over 40 years of hands-on experience with rescuing animals, native wildlife rehabilitation and release and providing sanctuary for wild and exotic animals in need. She will regale us with stories from the Waystation and talk about the importance of ecological balance and how to coexist with wildlife.
All are welcome! Guests are $15 for a full breakfast, merriment, and talk. Business casual attire. Please rsvp to [email protected]
See you soon!
