An open story practice forum. Join us for a free monthly summer series of themed, Moth-inspired storytelling at the Camera Obscura, presented by the Santa Monica Public Library. August's theme is «Kindness.»
Open to all adult storytellers (or story-enjoyers) of any experience level. Participants in this open story forum will have five minutes to tell or «spin» a true, personal tale without notes or props, time allowing. Tell a story or just listen. Light refreshments provided.
— Directions: By Metro — 4th St. Santa Monica Downtown stop, walk two blocks west to Ocean and 1.5 blocks north from the Pier entrance. 1450 Ocean is on the west side of Ocean Ave just north of Broadway. Parking is $1.25 for first 2.5 hours in Parking Structure 6 (2nd between Broadway and Santa Monica), each 30 min. thereafter $1.85, max $17.50. At the Civic Auditorium lot just down Main Street at 333 Civic Center Dr; $5 on weekends. Meters on Ocean Avenue; $2/hr maximum 3 hours. More info: parkme.com/santa-monica-parking.
