The new school year is nearly here, and Tommy's Place is ready to celebrate with three free live shows!

For welcome week, your favorite underground concert & events venue is showcasing student talent where the sun shines — the Ronald Tutor Campus Center Plaza! (Right in front of the USC Credit Union, to be exact)

Come out each afternoon between August 16-18 to visit old friends, meet some new ones & check out some amazing USC talent!

Madison Douglas
Madison is an LA based singer/songwriter originally from West Virginia. She began performing her own songs at hometown talent shows when she was twelve. After much encouragement from her friends and family, she moved to northern Michigan to attend boarding school at Interlochen Arts Academy where she studied songwriting for her junior and senior years. At Interlochen, Douglas refined her sound as a folk/pop artist. After graduation, she relocated to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in music as well as a degree in performance here at USC.

No Telescopes
Los Angeles-based band No Telescopes is never content settling on any particular genre, they happily bounce around from sound to sound in a similar way that kangaroos would bounce from square to square in a game of hopscotch if kangaroos understood the game of hopscotch. However, No Telescopes hardly understands themselves any more than a kangaroo understands hopscotch, which is — in all likelihood — exactly the catalyst behind their existance. A strange collusion of confusion and wonder, sadness and joy fuels the boys' pursuit of understanding something with the singular goal of sharing it with you.

Anna Scholfield
Anna Scholfield is a PR major here at USC with a minor in music industry. She grew up in Kansas doing musical theater but found that popular music and songwriting were more her style. She gravitates toward Indie/Pop with a little R&B in the mix. Some of her musical influences include Bon Iver, Lorde, and Frank Ocean. Anna is in an Indie/Folk band called «Bannack» who are planning to release an album this fall.
