One More Productions will be casting the Tony Award winning musical CABARET
Open auditions will be held August 21st and 22nd at 7pm.
Callbacks will be held August 23rd.
No appointment necessary. Doors to the auditions will open at 6:30pm and will be held first come first see.
Auditions will be held at THE GEM THEATER located at 12852 Main Street, Garden Grove, CA 92840.
Looking for strong singers, strong dancers, and strong actors of all ethnicities to portray a variety of roles.
Please prepare 16 to 32 bars of a song and bring sheet music in the proper key as an accompanist will be provided. Please do not sing from the show. Be prepared to dance. Provide a current headshot and resume.
Performances run September 28th thru October 22nd with a possible extension thru October 29th at THE GEM THEATER. Thursdays – Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm. There will be a Saturday matinee performance October 14th at 2pm.

Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome Im Cabaret! Au Cabaret! To Cabaret! Based on a book by Christopher Isherwood, CABARET tells the story of a seedy nightclub in 1930’s Berlin where a young English performer strikes up a relationship with an American writer, all while a zealous Master of Ceremonies commands the action at the Kit Kat Klub.
Kander & Ebb’s genius, Tony Award winning score brings to life some of American Musical Theater’s most epic and admired songs; Willkommen, Cabaret, Mein Herr, Maybe This Time, The Money Song and Two Ladies.
THE EMCEE (Male, 25 – 35): The Emcee/Master of Ceremonies of the Kit Kat Klub. An androgynous, flamboyant figure. Dark, sexy, sinister, vulgar. Requires a strong presence that is playful and mysterious. Looking for a strong singer and dancer. Speaks with a German accent.
Vocal Range: Tenor, Middle C to High C#
CLIFFORD «CLIFF» BRADSHAW (Male, 25 — 35): An American writer traveling through Berlin. A closeted gay man exploring his sexuality. Reserved but friendly. Travels to Berlin for inspiration and ends up with more than he bargained for. Comfortable with stage movement and light dance.
Vocal Range: Tenor, Low A to High E
HERR SCHULTZ (Male, 50+): An elderly Jewish fruit shop owner who falls in love with Fraulein Schneider. Sweet, lovable and adoring. Heartbreakingly naïve about the political turmoil in Germany. Comfortable with stage movement and light dance. Speaks with a German accent.
Vocal Range: Tenor, Low G to High F
ERNST LUDWIG (Male, 25 — 45): A German man who befriends Cliff when he arrives in Berlin, later revealed to be a Nazi. Comfortable with stage movement and light dance. Speaks with a German accent.
Vocal Range: Baritone
FRAULEIN KOST (Female, 25 – 45): A prostitute who rents in Fraulein Schneider's boarding house and works in the Kit Kat Klub. Larger than life personality, quick witted and sharp tongued. Comfortable with stage movement. Speaks with a German accent.
Vocal Range: Mezzo/Belt, Low A flat to High F
ROSIE, LULU, FRENCHIE, TEXAS, FRITZIE, and HELGA (Female, 18 – 35): Seeking strong singers and dancers to portray the girls who perform alongside Sally at the Kit Kat Klub. Sexy, quirky and naughty.
Vocal Range: All vocal types
KIT KAT KLUB BOYS (Male, 18 – 35): Seeking 4 – 8 men to portray the Kit Kat Klub boys. They will also be part of various scenes as German Sailors who frequent Fraulein Kost’s services as well as various other roles. Should be comfortable with portraying free in gender depictions. Strong singers and dancers.
