Matthew Sweet is back. Not just with his first new solo album since 2011, but back with the sound that drew us all in in the first place.
We've been trying to get Matthew in play since Altered Beast came out in 1993, and we would have started sooner, except we didn't open until 1992.
With Tomorrow Forever, Matthew is back in his role as power-pop maestro, with delicious sidesteps into Americana, classic rock roots, singer-songwriter, and a couple of other surprises; like all the great Matthew Sweet albums.
Ric Menck, Debbi Peterson, Rod Argent, and Gary Louris, among others, round out the sound.
Paste Magazine has a great live session, including several songs from the new album, that's well worth a listen: pastemagazine.com/articles/2017/05/matthew-sweet-full-session.html
Free with RSVP in person, or by phone at 562.433.4996, priority entry with purchase of Tomorrow Forever.
