Oyster lovers rejoice! Why confine your bivalve love to oyster bars? With the right tools and a little practice, anyone can learn to shuck with the pros and prepare oysters at home.
Executive Chef Ron Armendariz will offer a variety of the best oysters available, explain their different characteristics and flavor profiles, and show us how to shuck and plate them at this hands-on workshop. He’ll also demonstrate how to make mignonette and cocktail sauces and give tips on how best to enjoy and serve them, and we’ll have a chance to sample them together with wines specially chosen for the occasion. And all shuckers will leave with recipes and a personal shucking knife to use at home!
This demonstration class will take place in the Ebell Dining Room and is limited to just 25 participants.
