«Make It Happen» — A lecture that talks about getting where you want to go in the animation industry.

Meet Nickelodeon storyboard artist Jordan Koch (The Loud House) as he talks about career insights and experiences, from moving to LA, working as a freelance artist, and eventually ending up at Nickelodeon. Get the real scoop from in an informal «ask me anything» setting that will include networking, day-to-day as a storyboard artist, and the importance of staying motivated. The event will conclude with a full Q&A with Jordan, and DreamWorks art director Peter Emmerich (moderator), followed by an exclusive print signing and book signing of Jordan's latest book «Scrap & Scribbles».

Jordan Koch is a storyboard artist, currently working on The Loud House at Nickelodeon Animation Studio. Growing up in Pennsylvania, he went on to attend Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 2012 with a degree in hand-drawn animation. In July 2012, he moved to Los Angeles to begin his career in the animation industry. Jordan has worked extensively as a freelance artist for clients in and around the Los Angeles area, including Disney Television Animation and Animation Magazine. In November 2016, he released his first book Scraps & Scribbles: A Collection of Sticky Note Drawings.

Peter Emmerich is an art director, currently working at DreamWorks TV Animation. He is an acclaimed illustrator who has enjoyed an extensive relationship with the Walt Disney Company. Two days after graduating from The Fashion Institute of Technology, he began his career as a character artist for Walt Disney Consumer Products. Less than three years later, he was promoted to Chief Illustrator and Official Character Artist for the Disneyland Resort. Peter created twenty images for the United States Postal Service featuring characters from iconic Disney films. The series of stamps issued over five years proved to be the most popular and best-selling series in USPS history, and Peter's original artwork was featured in the exhibition, Trailblazers and Trendsetters: Art of the Stamp, at the Smithsonian National Postal Museum, and is preserved in the permanent collection of the Walt Disney Archives in Burbank, California. He has served on the faculty of The Fashion Institute of Technology and the Pratt Institute. He has taught at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and at the Polimoda International Institue in Florence, Italy.
