Join the Huntington Beach Art Center for a special presentation by creative consultants from the movie Moana: Costume Design Consultant, Rika Traxler, and Visual Development Artist, James Finch. This event in presented in conjunction with «Women of Surfing: Art & History,» the second exhibition in a series celebrating women in the arts, delving into artworks by national and international artists who have an intimate relationship with the ocean and with surfing.
James Finch is a Visual Development artist for Disney and designed the canoes for Moana and has been working for Disney's Animated Feature Film department for 20 years.
Rika Traxler was a Costume Design Consultant for the movie Moana and provided historical/cultural research and reference material for the costumes and dancing in the movie. She also designed and made costumes for animation reference.
