This week is all about REVISION. We will explore methods for revision that focus on craft and ask how to rethink a poem while keeping creative energy in the writing process.
To do this we will work through a special writing exercise drafted after the essay «Revision» by Stephen Dobyns.
We will work under the assumption that revision is necessary and important to better our poems. Instead of spending the night discussing whether revision is good or bad will be use the writing exercise as a sort of real-time experiment and see what happens to our poems when they are placed under the knife. (...metaphorically speaking. No poems will be harmed in the course of this Poetry Lab session. Pink swear.)
Everyone is welcome
