Prepare to #slimeagogo to the wild and far out rock n' roll sounds of the 1960's. Join us as we spin psychedelic, garage, freakbeat, surf, soul, and fuzz from our personal 45rpm vinyl record collections at full volume, that will cause you to move your body in ways you never thought was possible!
France's very own Les Grys-Grys have been nothing but a rock n' roll YouTube fantasy to us here in the States, with their amphetamine-fueled performances that conjure up the wild, rave-up rhythm n' blues and garage rock n' roll of '64-'65 suburban British teens (Downliners Sect, Pretty Things, to name a few...). They've been playing Europe's garage/psych/punk festival circuit for some time now, and we cannot wait to unleash them at Resident in Downtown L.A. for all of you to witness the chaos firsthand!
The Loons have been involved with the international 60's scene for years now. Fronted by Mike Stax, who's a 60's garage/psych/beat music historian with his world-famous Ugly Things Magazine and Bass player of 60's garage/rhythm n' blues revivalists The Tell-Tale Hearts, along with his wife and killer bass-player Anja Stax, this San Diego band will be sure to get the crowd grooving to their far out rock n' roll performance.
We are super excited to have The Schizophonics back after they completely blew us away at our Green Slime all-nighter some months back when they opened for Spain's very own fuzzed-out holy trinity Las Munjitas del Fuzz! They have exploded onto the scene with their amazing new EP out now on PIG BABY Records as well as the live performance of frontman Pat Beers who seems to summon up the spirit of an early 1970's Wayne Kramer spinning and doing the splits on stage while violently playing his guitar with one hand! This NEEDS to be seen to be believed.
